What's in a name?

I have the kids call me Miss Misty because they always tend to slaughter my last name. However I work with only 1-4. I've heard that it's better to have older kids address you with your last name because they tend to be less respectful than the younger kids and by using your last name, you are demanding more respect. I like having the kids call me Miss Misty and they like it too. However I've had teacher frown on it. I say whatever makes you most comfortable is what you should go for.
