slow?
By Carolyn

Clip to ScrapBook
January can be a busy month. Flu makes its way around the schools in January. Strep throat does, too. Teachers do miss time now due to family emergency or death in the family. We have had one teacher out all of this week
because of having to attend to her daughter's needs. (She had to have surgery, visits to the doctor, etc.) Then we had another teacher out to have surgery. The father of one of our teachers died, so we needed a sub for her.

As the others said, it just depends. Right now the teachers should be fairly fresh from the holiday vacation, but they will be out soon, I am sure. I work in

a small school, and it seems as if we always have subs in the building for somebody.

It might be a good idea to call your sub caller to hint that you love subbing and that you're very happy that school's "on" again. I did that when it got slow.
