Sub Folders
By Jennifer

Clip to ScrapBook
As a certified teacher and a sub, I have learned a lot about what I will include in my own sub folder when I get my own classroom. I think that all of the above ideas are great, but there are a few other things that I'd
like to add.
-a list of procedures...like can they go to the bathroom when needed...do they need a pass...how to do the lunch count...everyday things that you may have your own special way of doing
-if you'd like papers graded or not. I never know if teachers like me to grade their papers or not, so a simple note saying to circle wrong answers or something would be great!
-tricks
you use to get their attention, etc.
-where things are located in the room
-i like a pre-printed sheet from the teacher where I just fill in the blanks so that way I know exactly what sort of feedback you want. For example, have a spot for helpful/disruptive students, a spot to fill in what we did/didn't complete in each subject/lesson
-lots and lots of worksheets, writing assignments, extra math problems, cursive practice, etc. It always seems to me that I get through with the planned lesson quickly, so I have to come up with games, etc. for them to do. OVERPLAN!!
-procedure for what to do when students are finished with their work before others
Sorry this is so long....I hope it helps!!
