Clip to ScrapBook
It's important to always be prepared!! I bought 2 books-one for primary, and one for intermediate, which have games and activities in them. They were inexpensive, and I use them for time fillers. I also carry around a book of funny poems (Shel Siverstein or Jack Prelutsky are good) to read at down times. I also carry around one or two other books, and I make up activites to go along with them. You could make up a funny story starter and have the students continue the story independently. There are lots of substitute "survival" guides in book stores. Lastly, for games, I recommend 7Up Stand Up; Around the World (math facts) and Sharks and Minnows (also math facts) Good luck.
