Games and Tips
By Misty

Clip to ScrapBook
I don't really have any tips. I just go with the flow and things work out really well. You have to expect anything and be flexible. One game that I have found that the kids love is mental math. It can be modified depending
on the age but what I do is list a string of numbers and they do them in their heads. I choose the first person who has their hand up and if they get it correct then their group gets a point. The 'winners' will get to go outside early or get a drink or something simple like that. They love it! Especially the competition of it. Another game I play if I have a couple minutes before
dismissing is "The Ticket Out". I usually do it for holidays but it can be for anything. Example, raise your hand and give me your ticket out that is something that has to do with winter. Nobody can say the same thing twice and when they have given their ticket they can go. Another modification is to do what they have learned during the previous lesson. They like that too!
