4) What is the most common problem that you deal with concerning student behavior?
That students feel because I am a substitute, I cannot discipline them. They are quite surprised when I do.

5) Do you have your own consequences for student misbehavior, use the individual teacher's plan, or some combination? It depends on the environment I am placed in. Most of the time I use the teachers, or I will adjust that to make it work for me.

6) What specific things do you do to make your day go well? Come with lots of energy and show the students that I care for their education as much as their regular teachers do. If its a classs I can teach, I try to get a lesson plan that the teacher would like, and that the students enjoy. thirdly, law down the law for unruly classes.. nothing like stunning them to make the day brighter.

7) What concerns do you have for the current substitute program that is in place in your district? Getting yourself known to the students in one building is tough, and that there isn't a uniform guideline for all buildings as to the treatment of subs.

8) What can classroom teachers and other staff do to make your experience more positive? Pop in once in a while to check in and make sure there aren't major problems. Only if that's possible of course

9) Do you leave the teacher a note telling her or him how the day went? ALWAYS!
