I read all your messages and they were very encouraging. I always have a bag of tricks in my bag, puzzles and stuff. I felt it wouldn't be appropriate to pull these out with the principal in the room. I guess I have a high
tolerance level and when the students are in groups chatting as well as working it doesn't bother me. The funny thing is that it was my first time at this school and out of all the schools I have been in - this one was the worst. I am not saying that because of this experience but because the students just lacked so much respect. They couldn't even be quiet when the principal was

in the room - why would they be quiet for a substitute last period of the day??

I am just in a dilema now - what if I get called to sub at this school again? If I go - I will not feel comfortable and feel like I need to prove myself and go above and beyond. If I don't go - well then I loose a day of work. AHHHHHH that is all I have to say.
