subbing certification
By Nancy

Clip to ScrapBook
In Ohio you can get a short-term five year temporary substitute teaching certificate if you have bachelor's degree in anything. It entitles you to be able to teach no more than 5 days in a row in the same classroom. If you have education classes, and a specialty area, such as your social sciences, you may qualify for a long-term (more than 5 days in the same classroom) substitute teaching certificate. Call your county board of education, they can help you get the paperwork started, get your fingerprints done, etc. Good Luck!
