I have an answer

In Pennsylvania you need a degree in any field (Bachelor) and the state will give you an emergency certificate to sub on a daily basis. I have been subbing this way for 2 1/2 years. You have to renew every year but I have had no problems. I love the work and the flexibility. I can stay home with my 2 children when they need me and work as many days as I want. You do have to pass State Police clearances and Child Abuse clearances. Also you have to provide an official transcript form your college that you received the degree from. Good Luck. It's not easy to be a sub but you are helping.
