I feel the same way, Pea Pod By Mariella

A large part of the attraction for me is being able to pick and choose the schools I go to (we have an automated sub dispatch system which I absolutely love - it's easy to "shop" available positions and turn down ones I don't| want without hurting someone's feelings). There are certain schools I just don't want to teach at, either because of the general behaviour of the students (and lack of support from administration) or because of the distance. Also, I like being able to take time off for my own 3 children (went on a class trip 2 weeks back with my youngest son) or just when I need some time for me. | | But I can see the attraction for people who do need a regular, more reliable income and who want a lot of work so they can make a lot of contacts or be exposed to a lot of different classes, ideas, etc. I'm interested, though. If you are a permanent sub, suppose there is a day when they simply don't need you anywhere. Do you still get paid? Do you have to report to a school or do you stay home?
