Clip to ScrapBook
Until recently, I was a teacher of this population of students. I find it absolutely atrocious to think any school district would dump you into that classroom like that, if for no reason other than the fact that you AND
the children were placed in physical danger. I don't know if this class doesn't have a para (it should) or if he/she just also out that day, but you should never have been left in that room alone,ot without being primed on the philosphy/needs/progression of consequences/etc. Having been there myself, I ASSURE YOU, YOU ARE RIGHT TO FEEL UNPREPARED FOR THIS SITUATION. The next time they
ask you to sub in this room, I would suggest you respond that you might like to do it again in the future, but would insistt upon having further training/guidane first.
