sub notes
By ams

Clip to ScrapBook
I am a student preparing to be a teacher. in the meantime i teach preschool at a day care. I plan on using the notes method that I use for my sub now.
What I do is get a one subject Spiral notebook (I buy them by the case
at the begeinning of the year at walmart or kmart for 13-15cents apiece) I label it SUBSTITUTE HELPER. I typed a welvome letter along with a simple daily schedule e-mail, phone and any other info and taped (tape so I can replace it as it changes) it to inside of front cover. The first 2-5 pages ,Marked with tabs, is special notes about the classroom and students. The rest of the book
is for the subs to fill in. On the top opf the next clean page i print Date: SUB name: Contact at: Accross the top
then skip a line and print Please let me know how the day went + or -. What did you get done? Anything unusual happen? Please add any other comments that you would like me to know.

Then I add the New subs to a Sub list at the end of my personal planner so I have them when looking ovber my schedule or need a last minute sub. Also I have all of the subs notes and comments all in one place.

This works for me in preschool and I plan to try it when I start teaching.
