We are teachers, and part of being a teacher is being human and being understanding. I slip up is okay if the teacher admits to and apologizes for the slip up. As teachers we should model responsibility, not be perfect icons, we are all human. So, I look at it is a perfect opportunity to model how to act when one does make a mistake, take advantage of the "teaching moment." Mia, I hope you are not this unaccepting of student mistakes, I don't know if that would be a postive learning environment.
