Don't give up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am also a credentialed teacher. Subbing is a whole different ball game from teaching! I walked in on my first day of subbing thinking the same thing: "is this what I really want?" But you need to think about this: these kids are meeting you for the first time. It takes time for you to earn their respect in most cases because you're taking over their class, that they know more about than you do. You have to come into a classroom and do things that particular teacher's way. When you get your own classroom, you do things YOUR way. The kids will give you respect on day one, and you will know how to keep it under control! Don't give this up. It hasn't been your dream since childhood for nothing.
