snubbed by teachers By Katherine

I have a simple approach. I don't expect ANY acceptance as a sub. If they are nice, thats a bonus. I usually bring my lunch and go to the teacher's lounge to buy a soda. If the climate is icy, I'm cheerful and I go back and eat in my classroom. If they are welcoming, I join them.

I don't get paid alot so I concentrate on the bonuses - no lesson plans to write, no politics, no grading and a few extra days off.
