and I need the $ from subbing to support myself, so for the first time I called the toll free number and asked the dispatcher if there were any positions available for tomorrow, and to my delight she offered me a choice of two positions in the second grade at two of the four schools in the district. I,of course, accepted one of these positions. I have never called the dispatcher before today, but have always waited for them to call me. I guess one has to be assertive. "The early bird catches the worm!" I might call the dispatcher again in the near future, but I don't want to over do it. I still would prefer that they call me.
