sub high school
By Rie

Clip to ScrapBook
I just started subbing also and I prefer elementary, but I have been at the high school more often. Ask the secretary if they require you to submit comments to the teacher or to the office. The high school I'm at, gives me a bell schedule, a discipline plan, advice for a sub, and a paper where I am to report what assignments were given for the hour and the work covered. Sometimes it's just reporting that you watched a movie.
I always leave a note for the teacher telling him/her how the hour went and if I was confused about anything. A few times, not everything got finished, but as a teacher, they should know that. About the lesson plan dilemma, I would let the office know, and let the teacher know.
Good luck!
Rie
