how to help
By brenda

Clip to ScrapBook
Be supportive! Listen to the struggles she/he faces and don't say anything unless he/she wants you to. I'm subbing and looking for a permanent job. It's not easy. Everyone hears teacher shortage and assumes you must be
doing something wrong if you can't find a job. Subbing in a different school everyday is exhausting. Remember what it was like to go to work on your first day? It's like that everyday for a substitute. All the first day at a new job jitters...where will I park, should I eat in the room or the teacher's lounge, how will I find the office/the classroom, will their be plans, will the kids
behave...believe me it is tiring! So try to help out with all the stuff that goes on in the household so the sub can rest up for the tomorrow...the sub's first day on the job!
