Hello,

As an experienced teacher in Ontario I would suggest you using a point system for the children.
That is put them in groups if they are not and any time they do something well eg. listening, answering questions,
behaving responsibly etc they get so many points.

At the end of the day the teams that have earned a total of x amt of amounts can have extra gym with you or have some paly time art time etc at the end of the day the last period in the day.

I have used this system and it works well. You determine the amount of points and explain this to the children. If you have a black board space,

points could be put under their group name on the board. Students can tabulate these points.

This works well with students in grades 2 to 6.

Good luck!
