I am 21 (just graduated from college) and have been subbing this semester, although in Texas you don't have to have a degree to sub. As long as you dress up a little, you will probably stand out as a "teacher." Also, in my district, subs must wear nametags, so no one has mistaken me for a student yet. The kids usually want to know how old I am, and I think I have less discipline problems sometimes because of my age (they go easy on me).
