Sarah,
As a special ed teacher focused on EBD problems, I URGE you not to jump to any referrals yet. I like all of Tammy's suggestions and could certainly give you more. I just really don't thinkn you've given them enough time at this point. Also, I'm not sure if you're aware, but as the referring teacher, you are expected to document your attempts at prereferral intervention. I have found a red, yellow, and green zone approach to work great with 6-8 year olds with EBD-- give it a try (traffic light concept). Also, just about any of these systems could be implemented with individuals or with the whole class. I really think you should wait on the referrals and keep trying. Both you and the kids would be better off in the long run!
