Are you kidding me!!!!
By SPED/ general Ed teacher

Clip to ScrapBook
As a teacher you should realize that you are in this proffession to help teach all children!!!!! I have found that integrating many of the accomodations/ modifications for a few special education students in my classroom
has been beneficial to all of my students. I realize that often you feel like you do not have enough time to do all of the taskes you are being expected to do as a regular education teacher. However, put yourself in the special educators shoes. Special education teachers are required to write the IEP's, collect data on student progress, meet with general education teachers who are often
unfamiliar with the educational needs of students with certain disabilities, meet with EVERY special education students parents for meetings, meanwhile trying to plan lessons and conduct classes to a group of studnets who are challenging to teach! Which keep in mind are usually held off contract time!!!
