Here's what I do, I find it very easy and little time involved. But then again, I have an assistantI use a form that is broken up into fifteen minute incriments. It has four "choices" that each child can make throughout | the day (also known as rules). Mine are "following directions" "Kind words" "on Task" and "Gentle Hands." For each one they do they get a check in the yes column. To save time I only mark the no column when they don't do it. The total on the page is 100pts. At the end of the day we add up all the yes's and find out how many points each student earned. In my previous class, if they got | | over a 90, they earned a sticker, five stickers meant a pick from the prize box. But what we do in my class now is report to the parent how the child's day was. It's based on the grading scale a 94-100 is an Awesome Day (an A in grading scale) a 88-93 is a Good Day and then there's an Ok Day, a Better Try Harder Day and then a Not So Good Day.I copy the sheet and send it home to the parents. It has an area to mark comments and any time I mark a no, there's a comment by it. This serves multiple purposes really it is my documentation but it also tells the parent exactly how their child's day went. Clear as mud?? I can send you a copy of my Check Sheet for more information. Jessica
