I'm a Canadian teaching inn Scotland
By Pascale

Clip to ScrapBook
Hi there, I think I might be able to help you. I just arrived in Scotland 2 months ago and have been supply teaching...I'm still looking for a permanent job. It is easier to find a job in special education so you might be
able to do that. First, are you a British Citizen? You don't have to be because you cang et a working visa, it's just easier if you are I think.

Next, if you are interesting in teaching, you have to register with the General Teaching Council for Scotland. They have a website, I believe it's
www.gtcs.co.uk or www.gtcs.org.uk

You have to give yourself a long time to get registered,

it took me over 2 months which was very frustrating. And where do you want to move to? Some towns have more jobs to offer and are much cheaper.

I hope this help! I know how hard it is to get started.
