I have to agree with MJA and jjj. My biggest frustration is not being able to meet the expectations of 1:1 assistance from the regular ed teachers, parents, and principal. With the number of students, mounds of paperwork,
plus the lack of materials, planning time, and breaks, we are set up for failure.

My second frustration is the attitude and lack of support from many (not all) regular education teachers and principal regarding students with special needs. I understand that teachers and principals recieving more and more pressure about increasing "standards" and test scores, but we chose to teach in

a public school setting. The students in our schools are not all going to be the best and the brightest. We need to find a way to teach all children, not just the easy ones. I get extremely saddened when I hear some teachers and principals talking about how they wish certain students would move or change schools because they think it is too hard to make simple accommodations for them in the school setting.
