Don't panic! I used to be so nervous during my observations and think that things weren't going well the whold time. My principal used to disagree with me and I've learned not to be so critical of myself. As a suggestion
you could use circulars/flyers from local stores and give them a set amount of money they can spend. The object is to get closest to the total without going over. This works well with pairs of students working together. I have a small class this year and I used actual coins to teach money and paper copies of bills. I would give them a predetermined amount and tell them to get out
X dollars. I would then tell them they went to Y store and bought ?(something they would want) The needed to detemine how much change they would have after purchasing the item with the predetermined amount. This was always fun for them---I think the real money helped. Good Luck!
