labels

Clip to ScrapBook
This is really in no way creative, but it is a good way to reinforce the concept-- I made labels around the edge of my clock showing the 5 min. interval that corresponds with each of the numbers on the clock face (i.e.
5 @1, 10 @ 2.... 60 @12). I hope this explanation makes sense. It serves as a constant reminder for those kids who still haven't mastered/don't get it.

I also have a talking clock that came from an adaptive technology catalog-- it shows the analog and digital time simultaneously, chimes each hour (or whatever intervals you set for it), and will "say" the time when you push a specific

button. Every now and then, we play a game where each child gets a card with a time written on it (lower students get basic hour and half hour times, and others get harder ones). When they think the clock says their time, they stop what they are doing. THey check by pushing the talking button on the talking clock, and if they are correct, they take a piece of penny candy. If not (or if they miss their time), they keep the card and try again the next day. I hope this makes sense. Good luck!
