writing style
By Rebecca

Clip to ScrapBook
We use Zaner Bloser. I have a book that I go by. First I teach the basic strokes(short slant, tall slant, undercurve, overcurve, backward oval, checkstroke, etc). We started off with those first. Then I introduced letters depending on the strokes I am focusing on. We have already learned all our lower case letters and most of our capital letters. I use an overhead with a transparency of a sheet of writing paper. I show students which strokes we will use, we review those, then put them together to make the letters. At first, I make them finger space every time. Now they can just "eyeball it" so they don't put them too close together. Most of my students are doing really well. Good Luck!
