Book In a Bag

This was a great book report that I did for the first time this year. The kids got to pick out their own books (with my approval) then they read the book then drew scenes from the book on a brown paper sack. Inside the sack they had to put 5 props that would help them as they gave an oral presentation about their book. I had one student who had a doll to represent the main character, a tree to represent the setting which was a tree house, etc. The kids loved doing them and it got the parents involved because I sent letters home explaining the activity.
