Usually a school supplies things like paper, chalk and pencils. Things you might want to get are things like posters for the room, an alphabet for the wall, pocket charts, a calendar... You need things to start up a room. A principal shouldn't ask for a list. Usually you buy what you need and if the school has the budget, you get reimbursed. At our school all the teachers buy everything themselves. Good luck.
