Clip to ScrapBook
I have been teaching 3rd grade for 6 years and the kids are great! I've also enjoyed the curriculum. I've always tried to be upfront with my students. I tell them they are maturing and I won't treat them like babies. I also remind myself and them that they are still only eight years old. I don't expect them to know everything but yet my expectations are high. I tell them we learn a lot and sometimes it may be grueling (spell?) but it also will be a lot of fun. Many students start to develop a sense of humor and seem to "get it" when it comes to a funny story etc.
