Clip to ScrapBook
I like using poetry to teach, and have found some great books of poetry by African American poets that also teach about history and famous African Americans. Sorry I can't recall specific titles, but perhaps a librarian could help."Follow the Drinking Gourd" teaches a wonderful lesson on the Underground Railroad, and I think I've seen teacher's resource books focusing on this book.
