snowflakes
By monica

Clip to ScrapBook
I just finished a unit on snowflakes... We read "Snowflake Bentley" and made snowflakes out of paper. You can do a Shared Writing on "how to make a paper snowflake". Then have children make their own snowflakes with a writing piece "If I were a snowflake" (where i'd go, how i would float, etc...) We also read many poems on snowflakes and identified descriptive words. We wrote our own haiku poems on snowflakes... By now I'm all snowflaked out... =0) If it has snowed by you, you can record on chart paper how many days it has snowed (Math/Science) If I remember any more ideas I'll post.. good luck =0)
