When I was an undergrad, I used this books for humanities coursework...we make a large fish on a big sheet of paper, then cut it into enough squares that each child could have one. Each student was given a piece (they were numbered, and we had a map) and we regrouped after they had colored in the shapes to re-create the fish...teamwork, parts put together to create a coherent whole - it fit with the theme of the book.
