Money
By monica

Clip to ScrapBook
At the beginning of the week, I have on the board Table numbers, (1-4) (My children sit at desks- 6 at each table) For anything I think the kids will have difficulty doing or finishing, (like writing hw down, getting ready
for lunch or dismissal, just about anything), I tell them that which ever table can be the quickest, quietest, neatest, etc... I will give their table a quarter, a dollar or whatever.. A child from that winning table goes up to the board and writes the amount earned. At the end of the week, we add up which table has the most money and that table gets an award. (I have awards in which
I write their table # on and they hang it from their table). After every 2-3 awards, they get to choose from my surprise drawer, (filled with erasers, pencils, bookmarks etc...) If a table is not doing the right thing, their table has to erase a coin or bill... This has worked very well for me and the children are very serious when it comes to earning money... =0) and their practicing their math too!... good luck
