love to read too

Clip to ScrapBook
I agree with Pam. I found that once I started to not attach assignments/questions to books and chapters that my students would read, read, read! My students have their own book bags with about 3-5 books in it so that during reading they know which books to read (the book bags are choen with the teacher). I found students wasted a lot of time just skimming books, not reading but being more social during reading time when they did not have certain books to read. The kids trade in books with teacher assistance every two or three weeks.
