cursive writing

I teach second grade in a small, Catholic school and I formally introduce and teach cursive. I start in January. We learn the small letters and then the capitals. I teach the D'Nealian method. It is not formally instructed in any other grade, just practice in third. It is graded in all grades with A,B,C,D,F. First grade and kindergarten usw Satisfactory/ Needs Improvement.
