Math Facts
By Kim

Clip to ScrapBook
Like the previous poster, I too teach math using the Saxon Math program. We do alot with flash cards in the classroom as well as play games such as "around the world" and "hot potato" to practice our facts. The kids really like the games, especially hot potato: whoever is holding the "potato" when the music stops, has to answer the flash card. At home with my own 7 year old daughter, we use CD's on the computer and make up our own timed tests for practice. It just takes time and alot of practice on a daily basis. Saxon also has a website that has fact quizzes on it. The address is www.saxonpub.com Just keep encouraging her to practice and maybe reward her efforts with small treats.
