writing activities - community By Barb

I usually do this activity in the Fall but . . .
I do a build-up book based on items found in the community.

ie. In my community I find 1 school.
In my community I find 1 school and 2 parks.
In my community I find 1 school, 2 parks
and 3 stores. etc.

Depending on the size of the community, the numbers can be larger. I make this into a book with paper that is half lined and half blank so that they can do illustrations too.
