human body
By Sandy

Clip to ScrapBook
First I had my second graders get partners and they traced each other on white bulletin board paper and cut themselves out. (Have them turn their head to one side or the other). Then every day we learned about a part of our body and glued it onto the shape. We did the brain, heart, lungs, intestines, stomach, bones and muscles. I found a book called science enrichment and it had all these parts already blacklined with info on what each one did and showing where it went on the body. Then the last day, we did a word search with all the body parts. For a quiz, I drew a body and had them label the parts and then a matching to show what each part did. They had a blast doing this and we hung the bodies up all over the room when we were done.
