an experiment you could try...?
By Jo

Clip to ScrapBook
Sorry - I can't help you with the magazine, but your posting reminded me of an experiment I sometimes do with the children at this time of the year. I send a little note out to parents asking for small clear plastic bottles. When we have enough, we have a science sesion. We look at snowglobes and discuss what would be a good material to be the snow and to put inside a bottle filled with water. The children make their predictions then test the materials and draw their conclusions.
We usually use polystyrene balls, sugar, glitter, raisins etc The children are amazed when some things float or dissolve and we have lots of fun. Totally irrelevent to your question, but you may like to give it a go!
