What I have found works very well is: if it is important enough they have to write it on a complaint slip. they are required to write who they are complaining about, what happened, their name and the name the problem occurred. Every Friday we have a class meeting and discuss the complaints that were placed in our classroom complaint bucket. I also read these every night in case there needs more attention that they thought was needed. Generally there are no emergencies.
