Spelling Games
By Moe

Clip to ScrapBook
This is a 2 day activity my 2nd graders LOVE! On day 1 we review spelling words, then "write" them with white glue on black construction paper. It helps to first fold the paper into sections to help them size words appropriately. After the glue dries, the letters become clear (we say "invisible") then kids can use the invisible words for other activities: Close your eyes & trace the letters w/ fingertips, Make word rubbings (like leaf rubbings) using the textured clear letters under white paper, etc.
