some oomph

We are using our weekly reading story (basal reader) as the theme for cooperative group activities that emphasize art. The groups rotate daily and they are making puppets (paper bag, stick puppets) to show characters, banners, Venn diagrams, flags, pictures to show settings, etc. They are loving this and it is also a great way to add meaning to the story.
