Acrostic Autobiography
By Junetta

Clip to ScrapBook
I teach writing as a subject to my 2nd graders and we did acrostic autobiography poems using our first name. We first brainstormed things about us, age, hair color, things that we like, hobbies, favorite color, favorite song, sports, etc. Then we began trying to write our poem using our first name:

Just loves to write in cursive
Usually very nice to other people
Never eats seafood
Excellent in spelling and math
Tall and has many freckles
Takes walks in the woods
Always does homework

Then once we have revised and editted, we place a picture with the poem.
