We do a similar activity in my classroom. I call it Names for a Number.Write a number sentence that equals 2 (5-3=2) Show the number with tally marks. Do comparisions: 2>0 2<5 Write a number story with 2 as the sum or difference or product. I had one red flower. My mother gave me another red flower. Now I have two red flowers. 1+1=2 Draw a large 2 with "bubble writing". Decorate the two with designs or make the 2 into a character. How this helps.
