Fairy tales with Science

We did a unit on fairy tales and also incorparated simple machines. Jack and the beanstalk and pullies.... princess and the pea and wedges....rumplsteskin and wheel&axel...We did art to show the character in the fairy tale using the machines such as jack climbing up the stalk using a pulley. it is in our course of study to teach machines this just made it a little more interesting.
By 2nd grade, they have heard many fairy tales and are kind of boring this is makes it fun.
