I just completed a writing activity with my students that may help you. Outside of my classroom on the wall, I have traced a leprechaun and a pot of gold. Within the pot of gold are drawn coins and also paper coins my students colored and wrote their names on. I had them think about the following and write:
"If I was a leprechaun, I would hide my pot of gold...........
students give 2 reasons why they would hide it in that location.
