I had my students act out Strega Nona. I had a tape of the story and the children acted the story out with the tape. We had a box we turned into the "Pasta Pot". A child sat in the box and threw out yarn as the pasta boiled. At the end "Anthony" slipped a pillow under his shirt and sat on the floor groaning with a large serving fork in his hand. the classes we did it for really enjoyed it and my students wanted to "play" Strega Nona everyday.LOL
