centers By Lissy

I get this problem too. The things I have tried are to send it home for homework if it doesn't get finished and (this one works better but isn't always possible)I try to follow the center where I have written work with a hands-on activity that I know the children look forward to doing. If they don't finish their written work to my satisfaction then I have them move over to a place away from centers and work on it. This definitely motivates them to get finished and do a good job. They know if it's not done neatly etc. I'm just going to keep sending them back to work on it. Maybe the answer is to depend more on hands-on activities during center times. I'll look forward to seeing what suggestions you get!
